Instagram Stories are designed as temporary posts. A photo or video shared to a Story normally disappears from public Story placement after 24 hours unless the account owner adds it to a Highlight.

Does Every Viewer Lose Access at the Same Time?
Not necessarily. Audience settings can differ by viewer. A public account can hide a Story from selected people, use a Close Friends list, or apply other controls. A Story may therefore be visible to one account and unavailable to another.
